2008 Olympic Year NRC athletes begun their final phase of preparation for US Olympic Team Trials, which will be held in Charlotte on April 25-27. This spring they will have an unusually high number of racing opportunities which include: traditional NRC events, Glacier Breaker on February 23-24 and US Open on March 22-23, and USNWC events in Charlotte on March 1-2 & 15-16, BCE Qualifier in Washington DC on March 29-30

| The Nantahala Racing Club is a high level competitive, non-profit organization committed to the development and training of whitewater slalom and downriver kayakers and canoeists. Since its beginning, NRC's membership has included National Team members, Olympians and World Medallists. The club is committed to providing coaching to paddlers of all abilities, however its ultimate goal is to develop internationally competitive athletes.
